Construction Update - December 2020
10:32AM December 04, 2020
Work is almost complete on the new
Coldwater-Press Mann-Peachtree Roads zone.
All services are now available on Coldwater Road and Peachtree Road. Work continues on Press Mann Road and
Lonesome Dove Road, but most of Press Mann Road is complete and services are
available.
The new fiber optic cable has been placed for
the new Ruckersville-Harpers Ferry zone.
Work started on December 3 to begin to activate this area. Work will continue through December and into
January to complete this neighborhood.
For those in Southeastern Elbert County, construction
has begun as well. We are working to bring the fiber optic trunk cable from the edge
of the city limits in Elberton on Elbert Street to the very end of the project
near Bobby Brown Park. Once the main
trunk line is in place, we will work to install fiber optic cable along roads
to feed individual homes and businesses.
Those who have pre-registered on this website and paid their $100
construction fee will be contacted as soon as possible to install
services. Hopefully by February some
customers will be active, weather permitting. We will begin
with the zone for the Lower Bobby Brown State Park Road—Key Club—Fish and Game Club
area who reached their construction goal of 100% first.
The other seven neighborhoods have not reached
their construction goal yet, so encourage your neighbors to pre-register
through this website, connect.elberton.net. Check out the “Service Areas” link above for
the map of zones and the progress of each zone toward its construction goal.
We look forward to serving you soon!
