Construction Update - May 2021

We have now activated 2 of the 8 zones in our new Southeast Elbert construction project.  The second zone on Lincolnton Hwy.—Ricetown—Cooter Creek—Hester Road was connected in early April.  We now have added nearly 100 new subscribers to ElbertonNET in these 2 zones in the last 2 months.

Now we are ready to activate the third zone, which will be the Eastern Calhoun Falls Hwy.—Dixon McCall—Welcome Church Roads neighborhood.  We have connected this node to the network and are completing a testing and configuration period now.  Tomorrow, May 5, we will begin to contact pre-registered and pre-paid supporters to schedule installation appointments starting the week of May 10.

Construction continues on the remainder of the project, and there will be 5 zones left to connect through the spring and into the summer.  Likely the Bakers Ferry—Wahatchee Creek area will be next to connect in late May based on the number of pre-paid registrations that we have received.
