Ricetown, lower Lincolnton Hwy., Hester Rd., and the Cooter Creek area will get connected!

The neighborhood in the area of Ricetown, lower Lincolnton Hwy., Hester Road, and the Cooter Creek area has reached the required number of subscriptions to move forward with construction of ElbertonNET.  This area is part of the new Southeastern Elbert fiber-to-the-home expansion project.  There are 8 neighborhoods in this project, and the Lower Bobby Brown area and the Clubs reached its construction goal first and will be connected first.  But today a second neighborhood reached its goal and will get connected soon—the zone for Ricetown, the lower Lincolnton Hwy., Hester Road, and the Cooter Creek area!  Construction in this zone has started with the support wire for the fiber optic cable being attached to power poles.  Soon the fiber optic cable will be attached to this support wire.  Service could begin as early as late March or early April in this area.  Of course timing is dependent upon weather and how quickly we can install new customers in the first zone.  Check back here for future updates.
